முகநக நட்பது நட்பன்று நெஞ்சத்து
அகநக நட்பது நட்பு. (786)

muganaga natpadhu natpandRu nenjathu
aganaga natpadhu natpu.

A smile on the face does not make a friendship;
a smile in the depths of the heart does. [Couplet 786]
