Yes, It does buy you time!
When you can book a flight instead of train, which takes three days to reach the place instead of few hours!
When you can afford a cab/auto instead of the long walk!
When you can order food to be delivered at your doorstep, instead of preparing the dish and later washing the dishes!
But,
The experience and sometimes the life lessons that are taught exclusively in long train journeys are lost along with the numerous people you might meet on the way!
The time taken to contemplate the canopy of trees forming an arch to welcome you and the feel of walking on the red carpet, while walking through a bed of Gulmohar (Flame of the forest) flowers are never available on a cab ride!
The ingredient of love is not added in a food ordered and delivered and also the silly banter and naughty pranks that happen while clearing and cleaning the dishes are simply trashed away with the cartons of delivered food!
So, Time could be bought at a cost. Sometimes it is just a swipe of card or few papers, but at other times, it is love, life, experience, and much more tiny aspects of life, which make a huge difference to the life.
Note: We’re definitely not talking about the emergency situations and like.. Do take it with a pinch of salt!
Yes Aadhi. . Amazing. Your message is well conveyed here. Money can make us reach our destinations quicker, but at the same time it shortens the journey, which is the most enjoyable part of life.
Except for emergency situations, we should look for journeys in which we have enough time to make new friends and explore the life. Very well written.
Have a good day 🙂
