Right now!

I’ve been pondering what to write for the first post of #MyFriendAlexa In other words, picking the right bait to keep my new visitors hooked up with my words and/or posts.

Just when a beautiful idea started forming in the back of my mind… (Translation – Am staring out the window and postponing every other task I’ve to complete and call it thinking for my next awesome post) the climate itself took pity on me, or rather protected you all from another post of my ramblings…

The melancholic climate turned into a feisty downpour! I’ve heard from many sources that rain is sort of a gloomy mood. But when I’m traveling in National Highway, with my dear one(s), listening to my favorite tunes, a downpour is more uplifting than anything for me!

The road looks blacker, the greens around are greener, the surrounding looks fresh and free of dirt.. The dirt is sort of permanent fixture on these roads, so even the familiar road looks fresh. And the look is enhanced by the filter created by the tiny droplets on the window pane…

Nature’s filter!

As I was thus enjoying the travel, with a big smile on my face, I saw few kids going back from school, with a heavy backpack and drenched completely.

I felt sorry for them, till I crossed them and saw the bright glee on their face. There was not even a tiny bit of worry nor any other thoughts troubling their happy minds. I felt like the girl looking at the sparrow and wishing warmth with clothes, when it was already warm with its own wings!

In those happy smiles, I realised that happiness is not a by product or result of something else. It is being happy for the mere sake of being happy!

The lingering clouds!

The rain has stopped now, the climate has changed, the tunes changed, but not my happiness… Like the leaves drizzling long after the rain stopped, my smile still lingers on, without any cause, yet spreading cheer!

Hmmm.. So what makes you smilewithout a care in the world?

Play – Do you play now?

While I was a kid there were many friends to play with and a huge open area to play as we wish.

We used to play many games. The evenings started with games involving lots of running and moving around. With that we would be drenched in sweat and while we are near exhaustion, we will shift to games played by sitting around.

So whatever our energy level, we played and played, till we were dragged to our homes by our parents.

And the level of animosity between neighbours was far less. We could knock any door of the neighborhood for a glass of water and they would also care for all of us.

There were few houses who let us play full time in their home. There was an aunty, who always has some craft or something to keep us engaged during the sunny hours. She also lovingly made popcorn and sometimes noodles for all of us.

There was an uncle who was living in a sparsely furnished portion. And he had set no limits for playing anywhere in the house and he would also join us playing hide and seek. He always entertained with some interesting conversation where he taught us something new in a playful way.

Life is beautiful when people interact with people, face to face, rather than when everyone finds their temporary deluded moment of happiness, within a small pixelated window!

Snake-charmer plays the pipe.
“Beautiful music is of sorrow” so we had heard.
But the music sung by this charmer is sweet,
yet, not of sorrow feeling.
This is like a debate by the learned people.
Like a novelist adding line after line
which are short and filled with meaning.
What is this charmer debating about?
“thaanathanthath thaanathanthath thaa-thanath
thaanathandana thaanathandana thaa–
thanthanathana thanthanathana thaa”
Like that he is playing variety in loops.
What is the meaning of this?
A child said the following meaning for this:
“I adorned flowers to Kali.
A donkey came to eat them away.”
In the name of Sakthi, I built this body.
The pain from sin is eating this away.
I surrendered to Parasakthi.
The pain vanished.
Parasakthi started to live on my soul with light.
Let her live long.

Note: Sakthi literally means Power and also the name of Goddess.

“Could put up a fence in land.
But is it possible to fence in sky?” Yes, you can.
Isn’t the sky filling even the land?
If you fence up land, doesn’t it mean
that the sky of that part is also fenced up?
Control Body. Then controlling soul is possible.
Control Soul. Then controlling mind is possible.
Control Mind. Then controlling Sakthi is possible.
There is no despair in being controlled by the Sakthi.
There is a cotton pillow before me.
It has a shape, a size, a purpose to it.
Sakthi looks after that this purpose is met out.
It can be preserved without being extinct,
even as long as humans exist in this world.
If it is renewed often, Sakthi exists in it for longer.
If not renewed, the form changes.
Dirty pillow, tattered pillow, old pillow —
Take out the cotton in it and use in mattress.
Throw out the outer cover as waste cloth.
It’s form has expired.
If the form is preserved, Sakthi could be preserved.
That is, Sakthi could be preserved in the same form.
Even when the form changes, Sakthi doesn’t change.
Everywhere, everything, every time, every activity exhibits Sakthi.
It is good to preserve the form.
In the name of Sakthi.
It is good to praise Sakthi, by preserving the form.
But one who preserves just the form, loses Sakthi.

Note: Sakthi literally means Power and also the name of Goddess.

“Could put up a fence in land.
But is it possible to fence in sky?” asked Ramakrishna muni.
Could tie up inanimate objects. But is it possible to tie Sakthi?
Could tie up the body. But is it possible to tie the soul?
Tie up the soul. Then it is possible to tie the heart.
Sakthi in me is in my soul and heart.
Sakthi should have infinite temples.
In the time without the beginning and ending, she should have new temples at every minute.
Out of these infinite temples, the name of one of the temple is “Me”.
If it is renewed ceaselessly, Sakthi will be present in it.
When it becomes old, She will leave it.
Now, she is filled in me.
Now, my soul is bubbling with energy and contentment.
Now, my body has comfort and strength.
Now, my thoughts are clear.
This is enough for me.
I will not linger in the past, neither ponder about the future.
Now, Sakthi is sitting in the throne within me.
Let her live long!
I praise her, hail her, pray to her incessantly.

Note: Sakthi literally means Power and also the name of Goddess. This part explains that Sakthi is omnipresent and is in every person as well as animate and inanimate object. The nouns referred to in the content are the names of Gods in Hindu mythology.

Darkness came, Owls became happy.
The woman, who went into forest in search of her lover,
was alone and lamenting.
Light came; Lover came. She became happy
There is Ghost, There is magic.
There is no Ghost. There is magic.
There is sickness. There is ailment.
Tiredness kills. It (titredness) is killed by zeal.
Ignorance kills. It (ignorance) is killed by Knowledge.
We were afraid. Mother removed the fear and gave us strength.
We grieved. Mother changed that and gave joy.
She lifted the bowed heads.
She added light to the tired eyes.
She gave clarity to the confused minds.
She added light to the darkened mind.
Long live Mahasakthi.

Crow caws.
In the field that is the world, the Sun floods it with light,
which is like the glitter of the diamond.
That is shadowed by the clouds.
The light pierces through the clouds.
When the flood of light is filtered through the sieve of clouds,
the dust settles down and the clearer part above it.
Hen crows.
Ant crawls.
Housefly flies.
Young man concentrates on the art.
All these are the works of the great Sakthi.
Let her lead us to do what is to be done righteously.
Let our deeds be natural.
Charming deeds, Happy deeds, Powerful deeds,
untiring deeds, causing deeds, spreading deeds,
  happening deeds, endless deeds,
Let the great Sakthi bless us.
Poetry, Protection, Feeding, Raising,
Pruning, Caring, Showering with light —
Let the great Sakthi bless us in these deeds.
By irrigating with love, ploughing with knowledge,
Removing the weeds of (baseless old) customs,
Growing the crop of Holy Scriptures,
Reaping the benefits of happiness and for consuming it,
we pray for the grace of the great Sakthi.
Let her bless us with them.

[Bharathi Vasana kavidhai] Sakthi – Happiness Part 1

Sakthi

First part: Happiness

1

In the flood of Sakthi, Sun is a bubble.
In the river of Sakthim Sun is a flower.
Sakthi is infinite, doesn’t have borders, doesn’t have an end.
It is what shows action in inactiveness.
Sakthi is what beats, chases, assembles,
gathers, merges, shakes off,
winnows, blows, swirls,
binds, scatters, disperses,
puffs, stops, drives,
makes many into one, makes one to many.
Sakthi is what brings chillness, gives warmth,
gives shivers,
gives happiness, gives ailment, gives cure,
gives normalcy, changes the normality,
gives weakness, gives nourishment, gives ascent,
gives enthusiasm, makes to bloom, gives delightfulness,
kills, gives life.
Sakthi gives happiness, gives anger,
gives hatred, gives contentment,
gives enmity, blossoms love,
gives strength, gives fear,
brings forth boiling emotions, brings calmness.
Sakthi is what is smelt, tasted, touched, heard, seen.
Sakthi is what is thought, researched, calculated, decided,
dreamt, imagined, searched, revolts,
sticks to the place, thought, analysed,
Sakthi is what brings enchantment, brings clarity.
Sakthi is what is felt.
Daughter of Brahma, Sister of Kannan, Wife of Siva.
Wife of Kannan, Daughter of Siva, Sister of Brahma,
Mother of Brahma, Kannan and Siva.
Sakthi is the origin.
Meaning of the meaningless and effect of effect less.
In the ocean of Sakthi, Sun is froth;
In the veena of Sakthi, Sun is ending note; a place for the musical note.
In the divine dance of Sakthi, Light is beats.
In the arts of Sakthi, Light is one of them.
Let Sakthi live.

The spin of life!

Life keeps handing you the tokens..
With happiness and sadness..
It spins it and the face up
Becomes the emotion of that moment..

Eventually, the coin is flipped..
And when you are lucky,
The coin flips back to happiness..
I’m indeed lucky right now.. 😉

[Vision – Fame] Part 1-2

இரண்டாங் கிளை: புகழ்

ஞாயிறு

1

Which gives light? Which has unceasing youth?
Who is the heat source? To whom happiness belongs?
Who gives rain? To whom eye belongs?
Who gives life? Who gives fame?
To whom fame belongs?
Like what does knowledge glow?
Which is the temple of the God of knowledge?
Sun. It is good.

2

You are light, You are flame, You are explanation, You are vision.
Lightning, Emerald#, burning coal, the flame of fire —
These are the manifestations of you.
Eye is your home.
Fame, Courage — These are your directives.
Knowledge is your symbol. You are symbol of knowledge.
You burn, Let you live.
Show, (Let you) live.
(You) give life. (You) give body.
You let (life) grow, You takeaway (life).,
You give water, you blow the wind, Let you Live.

[Vision – Happiness] Part 6-7

6

We praise the Gods.
Let the Gods be happy.
Let them live.
Let them hail.
Oh Gods!
Let you prevail everyday, let you be happy everyday.
Let you live everyday, let you shower blessings everyday.
Let you protect everything.
That is good for you.
Oh Gods!
Let you eat us, let you be our food.
Let you eat the world, let you be food for the world.
That is good for you.
Oh Gods!
Protecting is nice, being protected is also nice.
Destroying is good, being destroyed is also good.
Eating is good, being eaten is also good Taste is good, soul is good, good, good.

7

Senses, let you live. You are one. You are light.
You are one. You are many.
You are friendship. You are enmity.
You are what is there and what isn’t there.
You are what is known and what is not known.
You are good and bad.
You are elixir, you are taste.
You are good, you are happiness.

This is the end of first branch of the prose poetry, Vision.

Revival of a Life!

She was losing hope on everything.
She was losing faith in everything.
She was losing interest in life itself.
She was losing her happiness.
She was losing her smile, even to fake.
She was losing life in every way.

He came into her life.

She revived everything in her life.

Not because he brought life to her.
But because, she wanted to add life,
To his soulless life, he was holding to.

Not always you need happiness
To infuse hope and life
Into the mere survival!

The Divine Ride!

National highway,
With the best road,
Without a single hitch,
In between cities
Roads bordered with
Trees on both sides..

No street lights
No tiny lights
From distant homes
And highway shops..

An empty road
Hence no light
Even in mirrors..

The wind in the face
And the pull of hair..
By the air,
Scented with
Petrichor..
Yeah,
the smell of
Rain on mud..
And,
Moistened
With drizzle..

Even with
My not-so-fast bike,

I felt like
I’m the centre
Of a vast universe
That revolves
Around me
And just for me..

Just me,
My bike’s head light,
And few metres in sight..

Sounds heaven?

It’s not yet complete..
A little kiddo
In the pillion
Hugging me tight
So my back
Becomes pillow
And the breeze
Becomes lullaby..

It’s the trust..
To sleep
On a highway travel
On a bike..

Words fail me!!

THAT is divine!!

PS:
I couldn’t let the kiddo sleep for safety purpose and as for helmet, mine was drenched before I started my ride, so please do excuse that since we are safe back in home..

This is a raw and unedited version of what I scribbled down in one go after a road trip, six months ago. This one has no imaginary exaggeration or fiction in any way. Just raw emotion. When I read back, it reminds me of the beautiful trip and I couldn’t edit it to any better for now. Did you like it?

Scolding!

My elixir for happiness!

There’s a beauty in the innocence. There’s a desire in most of us to go back to childhood days just to enjoy that freedom..

When we could get that happiness, just simply by being honest and living in the present, why are we not being child-like and enjoying our life?

Everyone wants to be happy, content or at the very least, not be sad and worried.. Yet it’s inevitable in the scheme of life to be happy all the time and the same goes for sadness..

There are few things which always drags us out of our sadness and set us back in to better time..

My best elixir is a good conversation with friends and some music..

What’s yours?

Hallows and horcruxes of muggles

Every Tom, John and Harry does certain things.. But not every Tom becomes to be the Voldemort and not every Harry becomes to be the Harry Potter.. Yet it’s surprising that each and every one of us has a bit of Voldemort and Harry Potter within us..

I’m going to shock you further that each of us has our own Horcruxes and the Deathly Hallows.. Yes, just not one, but many.. Wondering how? Read on further..

First, what is a Horcrux?
It is created by splitting one’s soul into fragments and securing them in objects or living things outside one’s self.. As long as there is a live Horcrux, the person can never die..

Fine, How is it created?
As mentioned in the Harry Potter series, it’s created by killing with vengeance or pure hatred..

Oooh.. Then how come we do have multiple Horcruxes? ?

This Horcrux I mention is a bit different and is not caused by vengeance or hatred.. And the Horcrux I mean is mostly persons, rather than objects..

Hmmmm.. So how’s it created?
With every heart felt, tummy aching, teary eyed laughter..

When you do share such happiness with someone, they become your best friend and your Horcrux.. As long as there is one such best friend, your soul could never ever die.. You do live upon forever in their memories..

Further more important is that, when your life seems to be in a complete mess in a dark hole, where there is not a single ray of hope, this Horcrux helps you survive the toughest of time.. It won’t throw light and make you whole again, yet it let’s you survive..

So, what makes you uplift from the darkest of time and gives you a happy immortal life? The Deathly Hallows

What are the Deathly Hallows?
It’s the collection of three objects that could cheat death.. The Elder wand, The Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak..

That sounds too magical to lay down on day-to-day life.. Yet it’s just out there, at some distance, that could be very easily reached out..

The Elder wand
This has the ultimate power and could do anything, the master commands it to..
It’s nothing but our own mind.. It’s always at your command awaiting to shape your future as you will it to be..

The Resurrection stone
This resurrects the dead back to life..
So does our memories.. A moment of joy lingering in the mind, does splatter at least a tiny smile, with every hint of the memory..

The Invisibility cloak
This shields the wearer from other’s vision..
Is that not just another mask? Wear up a smiling mask and thus you have successfully covered up your inner turmoil..

If one gathers all the three Hallows, he becomes powerful enough to overpower death..
If one could gather the three Hallows of our muggle world, one would eventually become the master of life..

Go search for your Hallows, and let your soul be surviving and thriving with the Horcruxes..

Keep Smiling and keep eating chocolates, to ward off the weariness of anxiety and restlessness of the daily chaos called life..

Happy living!! 😀
