Publishing Jimpify’s Second book : Through the Mist

Through the Mist

We at Jimpify Publishing, are very happy and proud to announce the publishing of our second book, ‘Through the Mist’.

1st of September 2017, we are publishing our first collaborative fiction and our second book, Through the Mist.

It has been a wonderful and exciting journey working with all the talented writers, right from the writing of the book till its publication.

About the Collaboration

‘Through the Mist’ is a collaborative book and an innovative venture to break a common belief and to validate an old saying.

It is a common belief that a story can be spun from only one pen. But ‘Through the Mist’ is a bouquet of stories from a bunch of authors.

The book validates that ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’ because a single photograph is the only common link to all the stories of this book.

Yes, a picture is worth a book!

‘Through the Mist’ is a collaborative fiction book that has brought together five writers from diverse backgrounds. The starting point of the stories is a picture, that has been interpreted by each of the writers differently so that the stories touch many genres and have varied characters.

What is the book About?

A milestone?!

To my dearest readers..

Time flies or crawls for the same period depending on what you are measuring it with.

Just awhile back, I was heaving a sigh, for a particular memory of few months back seemed to be very distant. But here I am writing my 300th post and have successfully kept up my new year resolution so far.

For the past few days I almost skip to post anything, I was not even inclined to throwback my old posts or polish those drafts and hit publish. It was so easy to take away the thought of posting anything on blog. And it is surely reflecting in my past few posts.

The one thing that had me and still pushing me to hit the publish everyday is the notification.

I have realised the easiest way to get followers and boost the stats is to devote time in exploring other blogs and the best advertisement for any blog is in the spontaneous comments that you leave across other blogs. It is indeed a very simple proportion. The more you give, the more you get.

But, I have been getting new followers almost everyday and most of them are not ‘follow-back’ followers. While few follow and disappear, few take the follow seriously and leave likes / comments.

Though I have been regular in posting, I have been a very poor follower myself and hardly interact with my fellow bloggers beyond my blog. This is one serious regret I have and I might even dedicate next year just for actually following other blogs.

While I would bother about them next year, let us come back to the present.

I have few wonderful posts to my credit and I will not shy from accepting the praise on those. As well I do acknowledge myself, I have been giving random senseless posts too. They are the forced / last-minute posts, posted just for keeping on blogging.

I do appreciate each and every blogger’s support and trusting me to get-over the crappy posts and publish few more nice posts. Ripples will continue to cause ripples, just for those few kind hearted ones. Thanks is an inadequate words to say to you people.

Do take a bow from me and kind smile for you and some more smiles for you to pass on.. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Happy Blogging!

A milestone!

Today is a better day than most and special for more than one reason. And here I’m at a loss of words to articulate the thousands of thoughts rushing to spill out and eventually going down the drain..

I have commented few hours back on a Facebook post. I was asked, why do I write and my reply was, ‘Writing is the balancing pole in the tight rope walk of life‘ Those words just stumbled out of my fingers and it was so spontaneous and also from the depth of my conscience, that it was a jolt to read it myself. The words are true to the last letter.

It had been six months since the year started. It means, I’ve crossed half way through my challenge of posting every day..

And this also happens to be my 250th post on Ripples. The tiny drop causing ripples has come a long way since the first post. Every day is a new adventure and a new lesson is awaiting to be learnt.

The reason this blog is named ripples is in the hope that it causes intermittent waves and makes a mark somewhere someday. I feel that someday is so close by and I could see the ripples leaving it’s mark even beyond this blog. I’ll soon be posting a better post with all the details..

For now, I would like to boast of two simple things that I’m feeling very happy about..

  1. I’m going to be published on a flipbook by zero creativity. (I doubt the creativity is anywhere near zero in there, for the site is filled with so much art and interesting information for logophiles.. Do check out the site and get drenched with infotainment!) The link is here — > https://zerocreativity0.wordpress.com/2016/06/29/sun-photography-poetry-on-sun/
  2. I’ve published my first post on MyTrendingStories.com –> https://mytrendingstories.com/article/poetic-child/

Now go check out those links, while I tidy up my to-do list to make time for thanking you all properly!

Keep waiting, blogging and smiling! 🙂

Catch you all real soon! 🙂

Nandri!

I’ve been fretting in my mind for the past few days and for hours with a draft for this post!
I just scraped my incomplete draft of 1000+ words. I was trying to say that I’m losing the prominence of I, with so many ‘I’s.. It was such a paradox and hence the scrap.

But can’t resist spilling the cause of such a big post..

This is my 100th post!

Now, I’ll wrap this up real quick with a big heart full of thanks to everyone who visited me here. Your contribution has made me better myself in ways more than I could express.

THANK YOU!!

PS. ‘Nandri’ means thank you in Tamil..
