Earning the Trust!

The crow here is indeed a normal one, except for one little thing.

The Powerful Crow!

Yesterday, I was sleeping in the afternoon after a good meal and I was woken up by this crow. Yeah, you read that right. It was calling or actually screaming at the top of its voice, till I went to look what happened. As soon as I appeared before it, the tone of calls changed but still it was calling out. That’s when I realised that my mother has forgotten to keep food for it in the usual place today.

So I went in and brought a little leftover food for it and was waiting for what it would do then. It went and tasted it. Then it came back near the house and started calling out again. Now I bought some freshly cooked food and kept in its place. The crow clearly did not trust me and we both had a staring competition for awhile. I felt sorry, more than bothering to win the staring match. So I placed a little food where it was sitting. It took a cautious bite of the food and only then it went back to have the food from the usual place.

The Contemplating Crow!

It had it’s tummy full of food (I assumed so) as it flew off silently even without a glance or thanks 😉  at me. Of course, ignore the fact that I never said thanks to it for posing to me or extend any courtesy for not yet suing me for stealthily capturing its private moments of contemplation. It would be back tomorrow and I hope it remembers me.. 😛

What sails my boat!

I was fiddling with this post, when I realized I was just babbling and scribbling. So went over to reader and was picking posts for reading randomly.. And that’s when I landed up on the so logical justification for following pessimism as one’s way of defense by a little doll with glasses.

The example stated for explaining made me nostalgic and reminded me of my way of thinking in the past and now.

Once, not too long ago, I too was so certain of failing in my head, even when I’ve been putting up some top class efforts, with pretty decent and at times good results. This has helped me from any possible heart breaks. But now I’ve crossed a bit from that place, and when I look back, the perspective differs widely.

I feel that I’ve been restricting my talents and my possibilities with all the what-if and what-would-be happening just in my mind. I’ve never stepped out of my comfort zone, for I was busy saving my ship from wrecking in the storm, by not sailing in the high seas at all.

Now, I wish to think, I’m wiser with the thought, it is better to sail and sink, rather than, stay and stink.

I was slowly getting used to this idea, and I read the book “Journey is my Path” during such transition. And there is a chapter around the end of the book, which just assured me, I’m traveling in the right path to overcome my fears. Fears- yes, not just pessimistic attitude, because that is just one of the many colourful names and excuses, I have been saying out. When you cut through all that crap, what lies in the core is just the fear, in its primal form. (So that’s one of the reason, that made me love this book so much 😉 And it’s a pity I could not choose just few lines to quote, as the whole chapter is very dear to me.. 😉 )

So where I stand, right now, could be summed up as, I still think of all the what-if and what-would-be only to make sure that, they aren’t surprise attacks and to get prepared for all those scenarios. And thus the life has become more cheerful and there’s a contentment at heart. Because, I know I’ve prepared for all possible outcomes and have done everything that is to be done by me.

And I have realised that, fretting over the outcome is just a rocking chair, which keeps me in motion without moving me forward. So I chose to just give out what I can in the present and neither get struck in the past or lose myself in silly imaginations. This seems to workout so well for me, as I have more smiles on my face and have a boost to my courage to face the consequences of my acts..

Choosing what suits is the best solution for smiling and spreading the smiles.. 🙂

Few words I grow upon!

The last part of this quote series  is from persons I admire, adore, respect and also cherish my life with. They are from my dear friends.

There is something to
Learn from everyone.
From few How to,
From others How not to!

This is one of those precious words that changed my perspective on life. This made me look again at my life from a third person’s perspective and it has been paving way for many solutions. Since we always are the better judge in others’ problems rather than to our own personal problems.. 😉

..Just start doing things that you like.
One day out of these things you like to do,
you will find the things that you will LOVE to do..

He is the author of the book  Journey is my path. And he happens to be my friend too. This is one of my favorite lines in his book. Advice is the most boring thing to listen, only when they ask you to do what you are not willing to do. Since this just says to unleash yourself, it seems to make a lovable advice and something which I am following.
And my fellow bloggers can acknowledge that starting up a blog in here is one of the best things we ever did. Starting a blog was a whim. But today it means lots more than an act of simple whim.
Because the blog we started, since we liked, is shaping our lives in ways more than we could have ever dreamt of!

You can!

This is one of the common phrases, but why am I quoting this and attributing it to one specific persons’ words?
Haven’t we all heard of that one bestfriend who knows us pretty well and sometimes better than us? And haven’t we all have heard of the deep self pity, where we have lost all our hopes of lifting ourselves up?
This two simple syllables  from such a friend has the power to get you back to the surface and even above it.
Just the trust from someone who cares about us, along with some tender love and care could cure most problems of self-destruction.
Try being that dear friend and let the world be better with few more  smiles and cheers!
